Valentine’s Day can be kind of a buzz kill. Not everyone has a significant other. Not everyone gets to spend V-day with the one they love. Not all Valentinexpectations are always fulfilled. But you know what everyone does have… a squad. So whether you’ve got plans with your boo or are looking for something to keep yourself preoccupied, you should totally celebrate your favorite friends! This year, I’m all about Galentine’s Day. Because let’s be real, girls are the only ones who really care about the holiday anyways.
In the words of Leslie Knope… It’s wonderful and it should be a national holiday.
Alright, let’s talk about some real world stuff today: MONEY. And more importantly, tricks to save it! Who doesn’t love saving money!? I’m all about a good bargain and wait patiently for things I want to go on sale. Over the years, I’ve tried it all. But I’ve found that one of the easiest ways to save money is by shopping online. SO, I though it would be fun (and hopefully helpful) to share some of my money saving tips with you guys! Alright, let’s do this!
You guys! It’s finally here! I’m so so so excited to share my very first Revenge Bakery Shirt with you guys!!! I have a ton of fun new Revenge Bakery goodies coming in 2017, but wanted to end 2016 with a BANG and post these bad boys!
So it really happened… I made a YouTube video! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been trying to figure out how to get started with it. The fact of the matter is that the whole thing actually made me really nervous. I hate hearing the sound of my voice and watching my crazy mannerisms and faces. But, I rallied and decided that with the help of my trusty bff Doug I could do it!
So it’s officially September… which means the world is now rotating around Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Is it me, or does it seem like every year more and more Pumpkin Spice keeps popping up? Like I totally get the whole Latte phenomena, but do we really Pumpkin Spice flavored Kale Chips? Gag me. So nasty. Also, does anyone else think it’s weird stores are already selling Christmas decorations? I mean, c’mon guys… it’s still swimsuit weather.
Oh, what… you thought this was going to be me and one of my human friends!? NOPE!
Alright guys, so it’s Day 3 of the 30 Day Self Improvement Challenge. Who else is trying to do all 30 days with me!?

Today, my focus is on learning something new!
The new Revenge site is live!!! If you hadn’t noticed… I’ve been having kind of an identity crisis lately. Revenge Bakery started off as an online bakery a few years ago and has gradually evolved into a lot more! I was kind of bummed on the overall “vibe” of my website and decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and make it into everything I wanted!
Alright, so have you ever gone to throw a party and struggled to come up with a theme or ways to make it awesome? Let’s taco bout’ my favorite type of party…
I’ve got your answer to all party problems, throw a FIESTA! Everyone loves a fiesta themed party! Not to mention, Cinco de Mayo is coming up and you better bet your booty I’m prepping to throw a kick ass fiesta for my squad.
Step One: Invite Your Friends!
Create an invitation & mail, email or text it to your friends! Looking for a template? You can download this super fun Fiesta Invitation & update it with your details! CLICK HERE FOR DOWNLOAD DETAILS.
Step Two: Get Your Decorations Ready
Ok, so now you’re officially having a fiesta. You’ve gotta get festive decorations to get everyone loco.
Here are some shots of a 30th Birthday Fiesta I recently threw for my boyfriend. And it’s your lucky day because I saved all of the decorations to share with you from Amazon! You can click the pictures below to stock up for your own party! (Photo credit: Alysha Nett)
Step Three: The Music
Ok, one of the most important parts of an epic party is setting the mood with some jams.
And obviously, I’ve got you covered with a super epic Fiesta Mix! You can check my playlist out on Spotify!
Step Four: The Food
Obviously, the most important part of any party I throw. There are a lot routes you can go here: Tacos, Enchiladas, Snacks, Tamales, Margaritas, Horchata… the list is endless. But I recommend putting together a Nacho Bar! It’s super fun way to get all of your friends fed and mingling! It’s finger food, so it’s easy to eat/talk & totally tasty.
To help you get your shopping done, I created this Nacho Bar Checklist! Just save this image to your phone and pull it up at the grocery store so you don’t forget anything!
STEP FIVE: The Games
No party is complete without a few games. At my last Fiesta, I filled a giant piñata with candy and mini bottles of tequila.
You can make your own mini piñatas too! Check out the step by step tutorial here!
STEP SIX: Enjoy the party!
The most important thing is to have fun. Every party has a few glitches, but just enjoy it with your friends! Be sure to take lots of pictures! If you’re feeling extra crafty, set up a photo wall! You can do it outside or on a blank wall in your house! Pinterest has tons of fun ideas and how to’s. I recommend going the easy route and hanging a bunch of crepe paper! Add some fun decorations and call it a day!
