Rice Krispies treats are kind of a tradition in my family. I feel like growing up, they’re kind of a staple. Probably because they’re super easy & cheap to make. And rarely do kids complain about them. Making a full batch isn’t necessarily hard or time consuming, but it leaves you a ton of dessert. This recipe is perfect for a quick treat or a way to use that last cup of cereal left in the box. Continue Reading

Festival season is upon us! So many awesome music and entertainment festivals coming up – starting with one of my all time favorites, SXSW (aka South by Southwest). I get a lot of questions about shows and which festivals I recommend, so I thought it would be fun to start by doing a breakdown of SXSW and my “pro tips”.
SXSW is a massive festival/conference filled with music, networking, and inspiration in Austin, Texas! This year’s event includes expanded access for all badge types with a ton of new opportunities for learning, networking, and discovery. There are a ton of different way’s to experience SXSW and there’s a ton of information online. I highly recommend starting by browsing Pinterest. There are tons of tips, recaps & ideas. But where do you begin?
Valentine’s Day can be kind of a buzz kill. Not everyone has a significant other. Not everyone gets to spend V-day with the one they love. Not all Valentinexpectations are always fulfilled. But you know what everyone does have… a squad. So whether you’ve got plans with your boo or are looking for something to keep yourself preoccupied, you should totally celebrate your favorite friends! This year, I’m all about Galentine’s Day. Because let’s be real, girls are the only ones who really care about the holiday anyways.
In the words of Leslie Knope… It’s wonderful and it should be a national holiday.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of my trusty “Microwave Meals”. I’ve gotten a handful of comments telling me that I shouldn’t use a microwave, because it zaps food nutrition. Lucky for you, the recipe I’m bringing you has absolutely zero nutritional value. Does that mean it also zaps calories out too? Just saying…
It’s that time of year… to stress out about money & gift giving! Anyone else struggle to figure out what to get people? Well, I have a great idea for you! S’mores Hot Cocoa Jars!
Not only are they super easy, tasty & affordable, they’re totally customizable!
All you need:
- 1 Cup of Powdered Sugar
- 1 Cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 Cup of Powdered Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Graham Cracker Crumbs
- Mini Marshmallows
- Mason Jars
It’s literally fool proof, you can make more or less depending on the size of your mason jar or how many you want to make! Mix the Powdered Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Powdered Milk & Salt. Then add a layer of Graham Crackers and Mini Marshmallows. Decorate with bows, cards or twine!
A few months ago I tried making homemade marshmallows and it was a war zone. So messy. So annoying. They tasted like they were from a health food store or something (you know, not quite right). I called it a Pinterest fail and moved on. Can’t win em’ all. THEN… a friend of mine told me you can make marshmallows out of 3 ingredients. You know how I feel about 3 Ingredient Recipes… I’ll literally try any of them. Cheap, easy & 9/10 times super tasty. That’s right, you can put your DIY pants on and make your own Marshmallows with me!
