Hey friends! I recently asked you guys on my Instagram what you wanted to learn more about and I got a ton of questions about starting a side hustle… aka side business to make a little extra cash! Since a ton of you guys have jobs or are in school full time, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite tips for creating a side hustle on the weekend!

Having a little side biz means you have little extra money in your budget. Whether you have an emergency or something fun comes up, it’s a great way to give yourself a little extra wiggle room. It’s great because it has nothing to do with your day job or school, but can also help you figure out what you want to do as a full time career. My side hustles actually turned into full time, self employed jobs!

5 Weekend Side Hustles

Indeed Crowd

Indeed Crowd is the perfect side hustle for someone who’s in college or a recent graduate. To put it simply, it’s a crowd-sourced recruiting platform that is used to help companies fill jobs. When you sign up for Indeed Crowd, YOU become a recruiter! You help employers find candidates to fill positions and get paid! If you find a match for someone, you get a $10 Amazon gift card. If the person you find is hired, you get a bigger reward! The payment can be anywhere from $250 – $5000!!!!!! The greatest part is that you can put a little time in at the end of your day, on a break or on the weekend! You can even use your social media accounts to help find people to fill positions. They also teach you how to recruit candidates, send emails & match candidates. If you end up liking it, you may even want to get a job as a recruiter or in an HR department!

Do Surveys While You Watch TV

You didn’t misread that. You can totally make money while you’re watching TV! When I first quit my job, surveys were a huge life saver. You can do them on your phone or your computer, so it’s a great way to kill time while you’re waiting at the DMV, watching TV, listening to music or bored trying to kill time.

One of my favorites is Mintvine, which you have to be 13+ to join. Mint vine offers a ton of paid surveys and invites to focus groups paying $25 to $50 an hour! You can get cash via PayPal or Amazon Gift Cards, just for giving your opinion!

Or… Get Paid to Watch TV

I’m not joking. There are literally websites that will pay you to watch TV. HELLO! Sites like Inbox Dollars will actually pay you to read emails, play games & watch TV. Did I mention you can sign up for free??? AND you get a $5 credit just for signing up! Pro Tip: I have it play videos in the background of y computer while I’m working, cleaning or cooking… aka EASY MONEY!

Become a Stylist

Did you know you can sell jewelry to your friends online!? Gone are the days of having to sell in person. With companies like Stella & Dot and Chloe & Isabel you can sell jewelry using your social media photos! If you like posting OOTD pics or sharing your personal style, this could be a great way to make a little extra money!

Hustle Your Talent

Do you like to edit photos? Maybe you’re an awesome writer or great at proofreading!? You can sell yourself and get paid for your skills! One of my favorite freelancing sites is Fiverr because it’s super easy to set up and start charging clients. You can charge whatever you want and create your own unique profile. There are people selling custom drawings, offering graphic design, voiceover work, creating jingles & so many other cool skills.
