Extreme Makeover: Revenge Edition

Extreme Makeover: Revenge Edition - Glitter Photoshoot

The new Revenge site is live!!! If you hadn’t noticed… I’ve been having kind of an identity crisis lately. Revenge Bakery started off as an online bakery a few years ago and has gradually evolved into a lot more! I was kind of bummed on the overall “vibe” of my website and decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and make it into everything I wanted!

Instead of just posting about cookies, I’ve slowly started sharing more types of content. From travel recaps, shopping finds, life hacks, music industry & concert tips, etc. To be completely honest, I’ve been really hesitant to start “blogging” more. I always second guess myself and feel really awkward posting about the types of things that are relevant to my life. I kind of feel like… who the F cares what I think or what post about? I don’t want to post about stupid, unattainable crap. A lot of blogs focus on a lifestyle that’s kind of ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to buy a $5000 purse and fly first class around the world, staying in castles. But that’s not really “real life”. At least it’s not my real life, or most of the people I know.

I shop at Forever 21. I love Top Ramen. I’m obsessed with music. I’m a giant nerd. I’m awkward. I have gnarly social anxiety. I exercise, but struggle to stay motivated. I’m constantly evolving and working my ass off to take my business to the next level. I have no idea what I’m doing. I have student loans up the waz. I have amazing friends, but struggle to make new ones because I overthink everything. I drink way too much coffee. I’m obsessed with my dog.

So that’s me! Depending on the response… I’m hoping to share more of my randomness. Not because I think my opinion is any more valid or that I’m overly confident in my awesomeness (because really, I’m not). But, maybe there are other girls out there like me that just like reading about normal stuff! I promise to keep posting recipes, selling cookies & maybe even some other fun stuff!

To get this show on the road…

I’m starting with a 30 Day Self Improvement Challenge!

What’s that? Well for one whole month, my goal (and yours too if you want) is to focus on ME! How can I make myself better, improve my thought process, get back on track, etc? Every day, I’ll provide a prompt. They’re super simple and don’t take a lot of time. But the goal is to spend a small amount of time focusing on something positive for yourself!

30 Day Self Improvement Challenge

Follow Along!

I’ll be posting the daily prompts on my Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat! Not only will I be taking part in it, but I’ll be posting about it every day to keep myself (and you) motivated! So… Day One!

30 day self improvement challenge: Day One

I’m proud of the fact that I took the time to redo my site. I’m not super technically savvy, but figured out how to install and customize the theme all by myself! Ok, so maybe it doesn’t look super impressive. BUT, it was free! And that’s a huge accomplishment for me!

So, what are you proud of!?

Hi Erin! The website theme came out very nice, it’s very manageable to navigate around and I love that. Your blog is definitely unique and I see how you struggle with making it something that shouts ‘this is me’ because I’m used to seeing blogs mainly about cooking but also love how the bloggers incorporate snippets of their life into what they post and if I were to do that I’d have a hard time thinking ‘well what exactly do I want to share with my followers about my life that’s relevant to my blog …’ haha but keep it up! I’ll be looking forward to what you decide to do with Revenge Bakery and I sincerely hope all goes well with this new exciting start and I’ll be doing the 30 day challenge as well 🙂

I feel you. Sometimes, when I check out other blogs and find inspiration from them, all I get is frustration because, well, I can’t go to these places they’ve been recommending in six months time, I can’t shop till I drop from the store they’ve been to and well… I feel like it is going to lead me into pretending someone that I am not comfortable with.

I am proud of making decisions for myself lately. I have a bad case of anxiety and it includes having a really hard time making decisions – small or big.
